Day Hike to Suryachaur from Kathmandu

Suryachaur day hike takes you to one of the best one-day hiking destination nearest to Kathmandu City. At an elevation of 2100 meters from sea level, this is the place from where you can witness Mount Everest and Mount Manaslu at the farthest and Langtang, Ganesh and Gauri Shankar at the nearest.

Kathmandu is the city surrounded by the rolling hills, traditional villages. Likewise, the rolling hills are covered with forests and traditional terraces for farming. The journey follows the route along Samakhusi Chowk Kathmandu, Tokha, Jhor and finally Surya Chaur our final destination. The hills open up as an ideal terrain to have some good time.

   Suryachaur is the closest place near Kathmandu to enjoy tandem paragliding.
