The Everest Kalapathar Trek itinerary spans 15 days, immersing adventurers in the stunning landscapes of the Khumbu region. At first, the journey begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, where the trek officially kicks off with a descent to Phakding at 2650 meters. Continuing the ascent, trekkers make their way to the vibrant Namche Bazaar, a pivotal hub in the Khumbu region. Another day is dedicated to acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, allowing participants to adapt to the high-altitude conditions.

Detailed Itinenary

Day 01:Kathmandu airport to Hotel

Airport you will be transferred to your hotel room. In the afternoon we will invite you to our office for a briefing about the each day program. Today we will hand over your Sagarmatha National Park Permits and TIMS.

Day 02:Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and Phakding (2650m)

Enjoy the most scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. As you reach Lukla start the Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chhuplung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).

Day 03:Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar

Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar(3435m) via Jhorsalle. From Namche, you can see the first glance of Everest.

Day 04:Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar.

Today you may rest or hike through the villages of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village in the Khumbu region. After having lunch we will hike back to Namche Bazaar.

Day 05:Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3890m)

The trail slightly goes uphill from Namche to Tengboche via Sanasa & Fungethaga. On the route, you can see the captivating vista of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Gokyo RI, and Island Peak. The main attraction is a monastery situated at the highest altitude in the world. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 06:Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche(4250m).

The walking trail slightly goes downhill to Dinbuche and cross Imja Khola you see the waterfall. Continuing the walk we stop at Pangboche for Lunch. After walking for a few hours we will be at Pheriche. Here is the office of the Himalayan Rescue Association.

Day 07:Explore day in Dingboche

Today you will acclimatize here or Dingboche and Chukung either walk around to explore the Pheruche village

Day 08:Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4900m).

After having breakfast trek to Dingboche via Dhukla and continuing the trail goes to the terminal moraine of Khumbu glacier. On the way you can witness Ama Dablam and Thamserku. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 09:Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m).

Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial ponds and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier, a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes brings you to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is located below Kala Pathhar (5545m) and Mt Pumori.

Day 10:Trek from Gorakshep to Pheriche via Kalapathar

Early in the morning climb Kala Patthar and enjoy the spectacular view of the sun rising. From Kala Pathar one can see Mt Everest, Mt Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku along with many others. After climbing down have breakfast and trek to Dingboche (4400m).

Day 11:Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazar (3535m)

The first part of the trail directly goes through Rhododendron forest and pine forest to Fungethaga. The trail slightly goes uphill to Namche via Trashinga and Sanasa village. Great view of the Khumbu Himalaya from the village of Sanasa

Day 12:Trek from Namche to Lukla (2850m)

The trail steeply goes down through Rhododendron and Pine forests to Jhorsalle it will take about two hours and another 5 hours to walk to Lukla via  Monju, banker, Phakding, Ghats Khola, Chaurikharka, Chhuplung, and arrival in Lukla and overnight at Guest house.

Day 13:Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Early morning joyful flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to your Hotel. During the day you will have rest after a long journey in the Khumbu Himalaya and in the Evening fare good dinner with Nepali Family.

Day 14:Rest Day at Kathmandu

You will relax for a day in Kathmandu. If you wish, you can take a tour of Kathmandu Valley. You can visit Thamel to buy some gifts that hold Nepalese originality and culture. You will be staying in the hotel overnight.

Day 15:Departure for your onward flight.
Your experience in Nepal has reached an end today! There is nothing to do except exchange messages with your movement partners and compose your photographs. A delegate from Hike on Trek Trekking will take you to the Airport, around 3 hours before your planned flight. On your way home, you’ll have a lot of time to design your next experience in the wonderful country “Of Nepal”.
