Ghorepani Poon Hill region is the residence of most of the Gurung and Magar communities including some other castes. You will get the chance to experience and enjoy the warm hospitality of Gurungs and Magars. Gurung and Magar families are known as the families of great Gurkhas. You will get to know their way of living, their culture, and their traditions. You will be having their traditional foods like Thakali and can enjoy wearing their traditional dresses and if it’s a festive season you will be celebrating their festival with them as well.
Poon Hill offers you the striking panorama of the huge Himalayas including Mountains like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Nilgiri (6940m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Tukuche Peak (6920m) it’s spring then the perfect blooming of rhododendron makes the trekking path spectacular. It takes a moderate level of fitness to complete this trek and the max elevation is 3,210 meters (so there’s no real risk of altitude sickness). Pokhara is the closest main access city to begin this trek.
After you have arrived in Kathmandu you can rest and you will get to enjoy exploring Kathmandu valley on the second day. Here in Kathmandu, you will explore UNESCO world heritage sites. In addition to that, you will explore Hindu and Buddhist culture Visiting Temples and monasteries.
Then, from Kathmandu, you will leave for Pokhara either by flight or you will get to Pokhara by bus. It’s just 6 hour drive. Not to mention, you will be enjoying the sightseeing in Pokhara. In fact, Pokhara (the city of lakes) has so much to offer you.
You will be then driving to Nayapul which is a 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara. After getting stuff sorted out and hiring porters you will walk to Tikhedhunga (1480m). The trek follows the path along Modi Khola, a downstream following from Annapurna valley.
From Tikhedhunga you will be heading towards Ulleri through stone steps and then to Ghorepani. Hiking through Ghorepani you will reach Poonhill. Poon Hill offers you the striking panorama of huge Himalayas including Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, III, and IV, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, and Manaslu ranges among few others.

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu and transfer to hotel:
In the first place, you will possibly be arriving at any time in Kathmandu. Then, our representative will receive you with a warm welcome and help you get transferred to the hotel. Further trip details, plans and programs will be provided to you. You will be staying overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Pokhara (900m): 30 minutes by air / 6-8 Hours drive
Based on the itinerary you can either take the tourist bus, private transportation or flight to Pokhara. After reaching Pokhara you can enjoy your remaining time of the day sightseeing. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful places in Nepal and it has so much to offer to you. In like manner, main attractions of this place are lakes and the Mountains which can be spotted around the valley. Finally, you will be staying overnight in the hotel.
Day 03: Trek to Tikhedhunga (1480m): 1-2 Hours Drive and 3-4 Hours
From Pokhara, you will be then driving to Nayapul which is a 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara. After getting stuff sorted out and hiring porters you will walk to Tikhedhunga (1750m). Then,the trek follows the path along Modi Khola, a downstream following from Annapurna valley. You will be staying overnight in the guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Ghorepani (2874m): 6-7 Hours
Then, you will hike through more than 3000 stone steps to Ulleri-halfway to Ghorepani. It will take 6 to 7 hours to finally reach Ghorepani from Tikhedhunga. You will be staying overnight in the guesthouse.
Day 05: Hike to Poon Hill (3210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2630m): 6-7 Hours
From Ghorepani, you will reach the top of Poonhill. It is the best spot for viewing Himalayas of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Likewise, you can enjoy seeing mountains turning golden by a morning sunrise. You will then return to Ghorepani and continue your trial to Tadapani. Walking through Deurali you will reach Tadapani in 6 to 7 hours. You will be staying overnight in the guesthouse.
Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m): 4-5 Hours
From Tadapani, You will be hiking through rhododendron forests and alpine vegetation until you reach Ghandruk- famous Gurung village. It will be about 4-5 hours hike. During this trek, the Himalayan landscape will be accompanying you all the way to Ghandruk. You will spot panoramic views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and other Mountains from a viewpoint in Ghandruk. You will be staying overnight in Homestay and enjoy the hospitality of the Gurung community.
Day 07: Ghandruk to Pokhara (900m): 3-5 Hours trek and 1.5 Hours Drive
From Ghandruk, you will descend down through the scenic route with views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Gangapurna Mountains. Then, Crossing dense rhododendron forest and hiking through Birethati you will reach Nayapul. During this descend; down streaming Modi Khola will be accompanying you.
From Nayapul, It’s an hour and a half drive that will finally take you to Pokhara. You will be staying overnight in Pokhara.
Day 08: Fly Back to Kathmandu: 30 minutes by flight/ 6-8 Hours drive
Either you can take the tourist bus and enjoy viewing the countryside on the way back to Kathmandu or you can take the flight back to Kathmandu. You will be staying overnight in Hotel.
Day 9: A full free day at our kathmandu
Day 10: Transfer to Tribhuvan international airport for your final flight departure:
