Gosaikunda Lake holds immense significance as a religious site for both Hinduism and Shamanism. Hence it drew a large number of pilgrims from Nepal and India during the auspicious occasion of Janai Purnima. According to Hindu beliefs, taking a ritual bath in the sacred waters of Gosaikunda on this day, while donning the sacred thread or Janai, brings spiritual merits or Punya. The trek unfolds amidst enchanting views of Rhododendrons, pine forests, and diverse vegetation. The trail goes along with spectacular panoramas of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Mahalangur Himalayan range, and numerous other snow-clad peaks.

Furthermore, nestled within Langtang National Park, Gosaikunda Lake hosts an annual fair during Janai Purnima (July-August), attracting pilgrims and trekkers alike. Commencing with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche, the trek winds its way through Sing Gompa, where the term ‘Sing’ signifies ‘wood,’ and ‘Gompa’ denotes ‘Monastery.’ The renowned Monastery at Sing Gompa adds cultural depth to the journey, preserving its spiritual values.
