The Langtang Gosainkunda Helambu Trek is an amazing journey that takes you through some beautiful places reflecting Tibetan culture. This trek also covers Langtang Valley, Gosainkunda, and Helambu in the Langtang region, which is north of Kathmandu. There are stunning views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Jugal Himal, and other mountains. Furthermore, the trek goes through Langtang National Park, where you can spot different plants and animals like deer and monkeys. Also, some people believe there might be bears and other wild animals in the forests too. The villages along the way are home to Tamang and Sherpa people, and they still follow traditional ways of living. So, the special highlight is visiting Gosainkunda Lake, considered a holy place.
The trek starts in Syabrubesi, about 7-8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu. From there, you’ll trek through beautiful Rhododendron forests, passing places like Ghoda Tabela and Langtang village, until you reach Kyangjin Gompa. Take an extra day there to get used to the altitude. Then, head back to Thulo Syabru and follow the trail to Gosaikunda, a sacred pond at 4,380 meters. After crossing Lauribina Pass (4,600m), you enter the Helambu region. Descend to Ghopte, then move towards Sermathang before returning to Kathmandu. It’s a trek filled with natural beauty, cultural experiences, and a sense of adventure.

Trekking in this trial begins with a 7 to 8-hour drive from Kathmandu to Saybrubeshi. Syabru Beshi is a beautiful village settled on the periphery of the Trisuli River. After that following the Langtang River through rhododendron and bamboo forest trial begins to gain altitude. Further, trek in the Langtang region we will reach Langtang Valley and the beautiful village of Sherpa people named Kyanjin Gompa. Also H in Kyanjin Gompa you will feel spiritual all over and observe the lifestyle of Buddhist monks. These Buddhist monks have devoted themselves and performed the rituals. Then, after having breakfast climb Tserko Ri(about 5,000m) to view the mind-blowing panorama of the Langtang range. Hence you can get the chance to visit the traditional cheese factory where they make cheese using their hand.
Moreover, after getting to Chandan Bari and walking through the Lama Hotel we get to see splendid snow-capped peaks of Ganesh Himal. If we are lucky enough and have time we can get a glimpse of Red Panda. Further moving to Gosainkunda we can witness the sun rising over this holy lake. Before we return to Kathmandu we will trek to Laure Binayak Pass (4,609m) and Buddhist monasteries placed alongside the villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang(2,621m).

Day 01:Arrive at Kathmandu airport and transfer to your Hotel at 1400m
From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about each day’s program. Today you will receive your Langtang National Park Permits and TIMS.
Day 02:Drive from Kathmandu to Sayabrubesis (1440m) 8 Hour
Early morning after having breakfast transfer to your Bus station to start your journey towards Sayabrubesis, along the bus journey you will drive through a beautiful village and you will see snow Scapped Mountain along the Langtang Himalaya and it will make your trekking become pleasant and touch your heart.
Day 03:Trek from Sayasbru besi to Lama Hotel (2480m)
The trail branches off Sayabrubesis main road by a police post where you will need to register a trekking permit and crosses a suspension bridge over the Bhotekoshi River. Turn right at the eastern end of the bridge and climb through the village of Old Sayasbru to cross the bridge to the south side of Langtang Khola. The trek becomes a pleasant walk through trees where langur monkeys frolic, passing a bridge a small waterfall Bhatties (village inns) beside the stream at Dovan(1680m) the trail then makes a steep uphill over a rocky ridge to the easily missed junction, where the route from Thulo Sayasbru join from over. Long uphill forest past the waterfall and couples of lodges in pairo meaning of landside; 1800m to Bamboo a cluster hotel at 1930m. Beyond Bamboo, the trail crosses Dangdung Khola then uphill to the still suspension bridge over the langtang Khola. On the north bank of langtang Khola the route uphill alongside a series of waterfalls and arrives in Changtang famous as Lama Hotel (2480m) overnight here.
Day 04:Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang3430m)
The trail continues to follow the Langtang Khola, uphill steeply through a forest of hemlocks, maples and Rhododendron, past isolated lodges at Gumanchok (riverside) and ghunama to the famous lunch time spot of Ghoratabela (2970m). There are great views of langtang lirung from here, which you can admire as the army checks post, where you need to register your langtang trek permit. From Ghoratabela the trail uphill more gradually through U-shaped glacier valley to the villages of thangshyap, Gompa and finally langtang (3430m). The national park headquarter is here, along with a cooperative bakery, a dozen lodges and so many yaks and overnight here.
Day 05:Trek from Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3860m)
Trek from Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa it takes only the morning walking through tiny villages to uphill Kyangjin Gompa (3860m) where you will see joyful Buddhist monasteries, several accommodations and two great cheese factories (May to December). It worthily to spending two full days here to gratefully to appreciate the mountains scenery over the langtang Himalaya of Nepal.
Day 06:Acclimatization day in Kyangjin Gompa
From Kyangjin Gompa you can climb uphill to a viewpoint at 4300m on the glacier moraine to the north for superb views of langtang lirung. The most popular day kike to the Kyangjin RI viewpoint 4600m, while a tougher options is the climb to uphill Tsergo RI 4984m. Other popular long hike leads up the valley to the pastures around langshisa kharka for more spectacular mountains views of the Langtang Himalaya.
Day 07:Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel/Changtang (2480m)
The trail walk downhill to sayabrubesis via langtang, Ghoratabela on the same trail you will uphill before and trail follow the valley and connect the Gosaikunda Trek, take left branches at the junction just before Dovan and climb uphill to Thulo sayabrubesis. Overnight at here.
Day 08:Trek from Lama Hotel/Changtang to Thulo sayasbru village (2260)
Early in the morning after breakfast trail slightly goes pairo landslide and leads you to Thulo Sayasbru (2,260m). Thulo Sayasbru is a beautiful Sherpa and Tamang village from where you can observe the miraculous vista of Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal and overnight here.
Day 09:Trek from Thulo sayasbru to sing Gompa (3250m)
Morning breakfast in Thulo sayasbru village the trail slightly goes uphill through beautiful rhododendron, Bamboo and pine trees. Along the trail you will past several mountains village to arrive Chandan Bari Sing Gompa and visit cheese factory in the langtang region of Nepal, where you will overnight today.
Day 10:Trek from Chandan Bari Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4360m)
After morning breakfast in Chandan Bari sing Gompa the trail slightly goes uphill to Gosaikunda via Lauribinayak. Along the trails past rhododendron and pine forest trees and vista of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Manaslu range, Hiunchuli and Tibetan peak is high lights of the adventure, you trek towards Gosaikunda (4,361m) and overnight here.
Day 11:Trek from Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3435m)
After morning quick trips around Gosaikunda lakes, breakfast and trek lead you Ghopte via Gosaikunda pass and directly drops you to Pedi. From here the trail past rhododendron and pine forest trees and vista of Langtang Himalaya.some section of the trail very tricky between Pedi to Ghopte, Tibetan peak and overnight here in Ghopte. Ghopte is very small village only few lodges are available here.
Day 12:Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang (2470m)
Morning breakfast in Ghopte, trail slightly goes uphill to Thadepati and from where trails branches for Kutumsang and Malachi village along the route. Today your journey will be more enjoyable and beautiful, walking through rhododendron, pine trees and Himalayan Bamboo. Finally arrive in Kutumsang. Overnight at lodge.
Day 13:Trek from Kutumsang to Chisopani (2160m)
After morning breakfast in Kutumsang trail directly drop you to Gol Bhanjyang(2130m) and small tea or cold drinks break here. from here also trail goes downhill to Pati Bhanjyang via Thankune Bhanjyang and have your luch here. after lunch break in Pati bhanjyang trail slightly goes uphill to Chisopani village also last night your trekking in the mountain, celebrate your holiday with adventure staff.
Day 14:Trek from Chisopani to Kathmandu (1350m)
After morning breakfast in Chisopani trail slightly lead you through rhododendron forest towards Kathmandu via Mulkharka and (Sundarijal drinking water station of Kathmandu valley). Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer your hotel and evening celebrate farewell dinner with Nepali family.
Day 15 : free Day Ktm
Day 16 :Departure for your onwards flight.
