Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is also known as Annapurna sunrise view trek.Trekking to Ghorepani Poon hill is regarded as one of the best trekking route in Asia. It also a very well known trek for those who have never trekked before and even for the trekkers who have a short holiday or less time. But even though it’s a limited day trek  it still takes you to the best spot to see the mountains and watch the sunrise. If you are normally fit you will be able to complete this trek without any difficulties.The key attractions of Poon hill are green vegetation, beautiful rhododendron forests, gorgeous landscapes, rare flora and fauna and magnificent mountain views which give lifetime experience to everyone.

This short 5 days poon hill trek gives a unique chance to explore the Himalayan experience without trekking in the high altitudes. Poon hill sunrise trek offers magnificent views of the giant peaks like Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna south, Lamjung Himal, Hiunchuli and many more.

This journey to poon hill begins from Nayapul, two hours scenic drive from Pokhara. From Nayapul the trail passes through patchwork valleys, forests and waterfalls. Along the way you can explore traditional villages of Gurung & Magar people, beautiful rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub tropical valleys, picturesque peak of Annapurna Himalayan range by dominating the skyline.

Day 01:Arrive in Kathmandu airport same day flight to Pokhara (1400m)

From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred Domestic airport to fly Pokhara and transfer your hotel. In the afternoon your trekking guide will briefing about the each day program. Today you will receive your Annapurna Conservation Permits and TIMS.

Day 02:Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul 55km and Trek to Tikedhunga (1540m)

After having breakfast early in the morning with a one hour drive to Nayapul and you will start your trek to Tikedhunga. At a 20minutes walk from Nayapul you will reach to Birethati, here you have to show your trekking permit and TIMS in the National Park Office. After a short stops, and trail slightly goes Tikedhunga via Burundi Khola, village of Sudame, Mathathati Hille and finally  crossing many beautifully settled hamlets and  reach to Tikedhunga.

Day 03:Trek from Tikedhunga to Ghorepani (2850m)

After breakfast the trail slightly drops to Bank of the small river. From here 2 hour climbs uphill to Magar and Gurung settlement village of Ulleri, which is beautiful village placed in the middle of forest from where you can witness the magnificent Annapurna south and other snowy peaks and walking path dead you through Rhododendron  forest to Ghorepani via Nanggethati overnight at lodge

Day 04:Trek from Ghorepani to Ghandruk (2090m) via Poon Hill 3210m &Tadapani

Early in the morning you climb to Poon hill to witness the enthralling vista of sunrise with Mt Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhauchhare, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri and Annapurna South in the rear view and hike back to Ghorepani, breakfast. The trail leads about five hours to reach the beautiful village of Tadapani 2660m.The trails slightly go downhill from Tadapani to Bhaise Kharka where you can find some tea house and quick break for tea, coffee and With  2 hours of downhill walk from here you will reach Ghandruk2090m. Here, trekkers are blessed with closest views of Annapurna and Machhauchhare. Celebrate your trekking with Gurung culture and traditions.

Day 05:Trek from Ghandruk to Pokhara (900m) and flight to Kathmandu

After morning breakfast the trail leads you downhill for about three hours; the trail has some small tea house. Prolong your walk to reach Birethati. With a half an hour walk arrive to Nayapul with private transport drive back to Pokhara and same day transfer to airport to fly Kathmandu.
